A new film about the anarchic electronic duo KLF, called Welcome To The Dark Ages is out now. Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty are men behind the experimental UK-based duo KLF. The duo is known for famously deleting their entire back catalogue and burning a million pound of UK currency back in 1994.
The film follows the two during their first year and their efforts to build a giant pyramid of bricks made of human cremains through the process of MuMufication. The new film can be rented or purchased here, and also features the previously unreleased KLF song called “Justified and Ancient” featuring Jarvis Cocker.
KLF’s press release notes that the duo have set a deadline of 2023 to find a permanent place for their 23 foot high pyramid which is said to be made up of 34,952 bricks and could potentially take about 200 years to complete.
So far around 3,000 people have already signed up for Mumufication. To know more checkout MuMufication.
The duo reunited in 2017 and brought their catalog to different streaming platforms on January 1st. A compilation titled ‘Solid State Logik 1’ featuring classic tracks that were released between 1998 and 1991 are available to hear now.
