Parcel, AKA Tarek Nasr, currently a resident of Downtown Los Angeles, has released music in both North America and abroad including releases on Motek Records, Cenote Records, Loco Records, and Death Proof Recordings. Remixes including Billie Eilish, the XX, Of Monsters & Men, Bibio and has joined alongside acts like Bedouin, Jan Blomqvist, SBTRKT, and Moby.
Producers Parcel and Might established Position Obscure Recordings in 2020 which has seen immense underground success. The purpose of the label is to support and promote groundbreaking music in LA and abroad.
In 2021, Parcel is set to release his highly anticipated “Moxie Memories” E.P., available on Position Obscure Recordings later this year. The delicately crafted two-sided EP, “Moxie Memories”
There are dualities at play; conflict & resolution set to methodically transparent dance rhythms that reaffirm ideas of the modern state of dance culture. With “Wallows;” on side 1, a motivic study highlighting themes of isolation that challenges the listener to look inward. And onto side 2, “Moxie Memories” carries the observer through a contrasting powerful delivery that evokes a sense of hope for a not too distant future.
