After more than a year filled with an array of thrilling and irresistibly danceable releases, the label Feral One Records, under the helm of Longstocking, has gathered an army of fans. The label’s latest unveiling “High Freq Vibe” introduces three Feral Ones emerging from the vibrant city just south of its Seattle roots: Portland, Oregon.

The trio of artists at the forefront includes:

Loopacabra is an interstellar electronic musician, DJ and a fixture in Portland’s local house scene, renowned for sharing stages with prominent headliners such as Matroda, Nala, and TOKiMONSTA, along with electrifying performances at events like Burning Man.

[E]mpress, a versatile PDX rapper whose fierce rhymes seamlessly flow over a spectrum of sounds and styles. Her music bridges genres forming an original sound like Hip-Hop, EDM, and Classic Rock simultaneously.

Mienne has been involved in the dance culture for more than a decade, a steadfast contributor to Portland’s house scene, having graced stages with VNSSA and Mary Droppinz among others.

The collaborative effort between Loopacabra and [E]mpress has yielded the track “High Freq Vibe” encapsulating the shared vintage essence of rap and dance music. Both genres, born from a burst of repressed expression, exude confidence and personality in sonic form.

This latest single serves as a continuation of that rich legacy, as Loopacabra’s lively synth work harmonizes with [E]mpress’s precise yet rapid-fire vocal delivery. It’s a track tailor-made for open-air celebrations, where high-frequency vibrations cascade freely. Mienne’s remix then takes those resonances and refines them into a dark and fluid rendition, maintaining the same energy but redirecting it to the club environment.

High Freq Vibe is available now on Beatport.
